How it works
How hello.fan works for creators
Fans pay to talk to you. Here is everything that happens between “someone found my link” and “the money is in my bank”.
1. Your page
Your page lives at hello.fan/yourname. It shows your photo, a short headline, your prices for video, voice and chat, and — when you're online — call buttons. If you offer bookable sessions, fans see open times on your calendar. You can stay out of the public directory (unlisted) and only take calls from people who have your link.
2. Being reachable
Switch to online whenever you're free, or set working hours and your status follows them in your own time zone. With the Android app, a call rings your phone with a full-screen incoming call even when the app is closed. Two unanswered rings in a row take you offline, so fans never wait on a phone nobody is watching.
3. The call
Fans prepay in credits (100 credits = $1). When you answer, billing starts only once you're both connected — and for video, once your camera is on — then runs in 15-second steps. Fans can send gifts during the call. Live translated subtitles and translated chat help when you don't share a language, and ✨ Effects lets you add a look, softer skin or a fun sticker.
4. When you're offline
Fans can book a session, ask you to open bookings (you're told, and they're told the moment you do), or send a 10-credit Icebreaker — a one-line hello you answer once.
5. Getting paid
You keep 60% of every call, booking and gift (70% with an active store.fan shop). Earnings become withdrawable 14 days after they're earned; withdrawals start at $50 and go to your bank through Stripe after a one-time ID check — the same check that puts the blue Verified badge on your page.
